A recent Gallup survey found that 50% of U.S. employees now use AI at work in some capacity.

That’s a massive shift in a short period of time.

But here’s the interesting part: Most organizations still haven’t redesigned work around AI. They’ve simply layered AI on top of already fragmented processes.

That’s where frustration starts.

Employees don’t want 14 disconnected tools, duplicate entry, and manual approvals with “AI added.”

They want: ✅ fewer repetitive tasks ✅ faster answers ✅ cleaner workflows ✅ better visibility ✅ more time for strategic work

The organizations getting the best outcomes from AI right now seem to be focusing less on “replacing people” and more on reducing operational drag. That could mean: 🟠 automating payroll workflows 🟠 streamlining onboarding 🟠 reducing compliance administration 🟠 simplifying manager approvals 🟠 improving workforce reporting

One simple exercise leaders can do this month: Ask every department:
❓ What repetitive task takes the most time each week?”

That answer usually reveals the best AI and automation opportunities. Technology should remove friction, not create another login screen.

What’s one repetitive process you wish AI could completely eliminate in your workday?
