Working with IoT systems, one thing has become very clear to me: telemetry data is massively underused.
Collecting sensor data is relatively easy today. The real challenge is transforming high-frequency time-series data into meaningful operational intelligence. That’s why I’ve been spending more time exploring the AI side of the equation, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, forecasting and pattern recognition applied directly to real-world systems.
What makes this field exciting is that small deviations in vibration, pressure, temperature or power consumption can reveal issues long before failure happens. When AI is connected to reliable telemetry pipelines, it stops being just analytics and starts becoming decision support for physical infrastructure.
The combination of IoT + AI still feels like we’re only scratching the surface.
